In 1966, this runner-up recipe may have just missed the grand prize, but it became a cultural icon: the Tunnel-of-Fudge cake was so popular that there was mass demand for the previously little-known Bundt pan, a cake pan designed by Minnesota-based company Nordic Ware.
This delicious dessert bar took the top marks at the 1967 Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest. Reviewers call it a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, and it’s not hard to see why!
