Cheeseburgers or pizza? Who wants to make that decision? With this recipe, nobody has to compromise! These easy, flavor-packed Double Cheeseburger Pizza Rounds contain the familiar flavors of both a double cheeseburger and a homemade pizza. They’re gooey, warm, and easy to make for a fantastic dinner that the whole family will love!
You only need a few basic ingredients to make this delicious, family-friendly dinner.
Ground Beef or Turkey: Meat is the bulk of the filling for this recipe, but you can choose beef or turkey based on your preference.
Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits: These biscuits have world-class flavor, and they’re easy to use! Simply open the dough, and you’re ready to go; no hassle required.
Shredded Pizza Cheese Blend or Mozzarella Cheese: Shredded cheese is a great topping for your filling, because it melts evenly and tastes great!
Other Ingredients You’ll Need: Egg yolk and water make an egg wash that makes your biscuits a little extra golden and crispy on the outside. Sesame seed add texture to the biscuits and evoke sesame seed hamburger buns. Pizza sauce, crumbled feta cheese, chopped ripe olives, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, salt, and pepper finish off the filling and add seasoning to the final product!
This meal is approachable, easy to make, and a great family-friendly option for dinner. These are the basics, but you can see the full recipe below when you’re ready to begin.
Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked and heated through. Drain.
Spray a large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray to keep the dough from sticking. Separate your dough into 8 biscuits. Place the dough 2 1/2 inches apart on the sprayed baking sheet. With the bottom of flat 2-inch diameter glass or with fingers, press out each biscuit to form 3 1/2-inch round with 1/4-inch rim around the outside edge. This keeps the filling from spilling over and makes your final product look more polished!
In a small bowl, combine egg yolk and water and beat well. Brush egg mixture over the tops and sides of your biscuits. Doing this helps the biscuits to turn golden brown while cooking. Sprinkle each with sesame seed.
Add all of the remaining ingredients (except pizza cheese blend) to the ground beef. Cook the mixture for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Spoon about 1/4 cup ground beef mixture into the indentation in each biscuit. Sprinkle each with pizza cheese blend.
Bake the Double Cheeseburger Pizza Rounds at 375°F for 12 to 17 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. Carefully remove from baking sheet. Cool slightly before serving warm.
Leftover Double Cheeseburger Pizza Rounds make an excellent lunch or dinner the next day! Be sure to store leftovers within 2 hours of finishing preparation.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Heat oven to 375°F. Spray large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.

Meanwhile, separate dough into 8 biscuits. Place 2 1/2 inches apart on sprayed baking sheet. With bottom of flat 2-inch diameter glass or with fingers, press out each biscuit to form 3 1/2-inch round with 1/4-inch rim around outside edge.

In small bowl, combine egg yolk and water; beat well. Brush over tops and sides of biscuits. Sprinkle each with sesame seed.

Add all remaining ingredients except pizza cheese blend to ground beef; cook about 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Spoon about 1/4 cup ground beef mixture into indentation in each biscuit. Sprinkle each with pizza cheese blend.

Bake at 375°F for 12 to 17 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Carefully remove from baking sheet.

If you need to save time day-of, you can make the filling a day or two ahead of time and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. When you’re ready, put the filling in the biscuits, top with cheese, and bake as directed.
When pressing out the dough, it is easier to make the indents with a glass than your fingers. This way, the space for the filling is uniform and looks neater.
