Cook your ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until it’s nicely browned and crumbly. As we tested this recipe, we found that allowing the meat to cool back down to room temp after cooking made a huge difference in assembling our stromboli. If the meat is too hot, it warms up the dough and makes it much harder to fold!
Unroll the Pillsbury™ Classic Crust Pizza Crust, and press it out to form a large rectangle.
Spread the sauce over the dough, then add the cooked, cooled ground beef and top with cheese, chopped peppers, and Italian seasoning.
Fold the dough over the fillings and press the edges of the dough with your fingertips to seal. Pop your stromboli into the oven for 15 to 20 minutes and serve with more marinara sauce for dipping.
Leftover stromboli makes a fantastic lunch or dinner, and it stores well in the fridge or freezer.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Wrap your stromboli tightly in plastic wrap, then put in an airtight container or resealable bag and freeze for up to 6 months.

Heat oven to 400°F. Spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.

Brown ground beef in medium skillet over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain. Set aside.

Unroll dough; place on sprayed cookie sheet. Starting at center, press dough with hands to form a 12x8-inch rectangle.

Spread sauce over dough, leaving a 2-inch border along the long sides of the dough and a 1/2-inch border along the short sides.

Place cooked ground beef lengthwise down center, forming 3-inch-wide strip and leaving a 1/2-inch border along the short sides.

Top with cheese, bell pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Fold long sides of dough over filling; press edges to seal.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

Eat it on the go! Wrap your stromboli in aluminum foil, then put it in an insulated bag and bring it to a picnic or kids’ sporting event.
